Join The Terrace for the Best Comedy Nights in Exeter

18/06/2017

Get your belly ready for a whole lot of laughing. The Terrace will be hosting the rib cracking comedy nights Exeter has been in need of for years now!

In the past, The Terrace has been joined by the talented likes of Ivo Graham, Adam Bloom, Phil Jerrod, Pedro Leandro and MC Noel Brodie, and more are soon to come!

Ivo Graham is a stand-up comedian with a track record of top quality laughs – many, endearingly so, at his own expense. In 2009, he won So You Think You’re Funny, and a year later, was then nominated as the Best Newcomer in the Chortle Awards. Throughout his career, he’s been a guest on Mock the Week, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, and Sweat the Small Stuff, among others. Now, we’re lucky enough to feature him on his tour. It’s sure to be one of the best comedy nights Exeter has ever seen!

Adam Bloom has performed award-winning stand up in both Edinburgh and Melbourne, where he won the Punter’s and Stella Artois awards, respectively. He’s been delivering chuckle-worthy quips for over two decades, and the comic shows no signs of slowing down. Bloom’s career has seen him as a guest on Mock the Week, Russell Howard’s Good News, and his own show, The Problem with Adam Bloom on BBC Radio 4.

While Phil Jerrod may be a relative newcomer to the comedy scene, his style and writing ability are decidedly those of an established act. His stream-of-consciousness delivery gives his stories a rant-like kind of flavour that luckily manages to be more engaging than grating as he goes on about his childhood in rural middle-class Warwickshire, and his life’s momentous and mundane events, all bound to light up our comedy nights. Exeter is in for a treat with this one!

Pedro Leandro became a familiar face in Edinburgh as the host of Grassroots Comedy, the student-run comedy night in the city, and a member of The Improverts (comedy troupe of the University of Edinburgh’s Theatre Company). The Improverts are legendary at the annual Fringe Festival as the longest running act, having performed every year for 25 years.

MC Noel Brodie is one of the UK’s fastest rising comedians, exuding warmth, candour, and of course, plenty of humour on stage with his effortless observational comedy and quick-witted improvisation. His versatility as a comedian and performer can warm any audience to him, making him the perfect MC for our comedy nights in Exeter!

And this is just our line-up so far! In future months, we’ll be hosting more comedy gold for you to get those belly muscles working. So join us at The Terrace for the best comedy nights in Exeter city!
